More Virginians want to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment than want a tax cut!

On Tuesday, December 5th the Wason Center for Public Policy at Christopher Newport University released polling results for the upcoming General Assembly session in 2019.

Consistent with national polling, the Equal Rights Amendment enjoyed exceptionally strong support amongst Virginians. More Virginians (81%) favor Virginia’s ratification of the Equal Rights Amendment than favor a tax cut (75%) or the relocation of Amazon’s HQ2 (68%). The citizens of the Commonwealth have spoken loudly in favor of constitutional gender equality.

Kati Hornung, VAratifyERA Campaign Coordinator, states, “Around the state, in liberal and conservative areas alike, the enthusiasm is growing. Virginians want to make a bold and historical statement about Virginia’s values.”
